My Journey

South Wales Argus (2019)
At the age of eighteen, I got my first professional writing experience as a journalist at the Argus newspaper. From practising shorthand during court reports to interviewing locals and getting my first articles and features published, this was my first glimpse into how I could apply my literary talents in a professional landscape.

University of South Wales (2019 - 2022)
In my time studying Journalism(BA) I achieved a Certificate of Higher Education (CertHE) in multiple modules including Journalism Law, Ethics and Regulation, Newswriting, Broadcast Journalism, Practical Journalism, and Public Affairs. But I wanted more from my writing; more flare!…

University of West England (2023 - 2026)
…That’s when I got creative. Studying Creative and Professional Writing(BA) allowed my style to truly flourish. I have a Bachelor Of Arts with a 2:1 (Upper Division) and produced First grade work across Publishing, Copywriting, Fiction and Non-fiction and Script.(I even tried my hand at some greenscreen acting!(but we don’t talk about that)).

The Writing Club (2025) -
During my mentorship at Writing Club I developed my marketing and copywriting skills even further and was able to work on live briefs presented by talented professionals that work with this likes of ITV, British Gas, Pret A Manger and Breast Cancer Now.

Nova Magazine (2026)
I was part of a team that produced the third edition of the literary magazine Nova. My understanding of the world of publishing and my place in it helped me develop the overall ethos of the magazine.
